"Parking was an immediate no for me"
My first reaction was that parking was going to be a problem, and I was right. Every time I went, it felt like there just weren’t enough spots, and figuring out other ways to get around wasn’t exactly easy either. I ended up wasting way more time on transportation than I expected. Frustrating, and I wouldn’t be excited to deal with it again

"Tuition felt higher than I expected"
I was interested in fresno.edu at first, but the tuition ended up feeling higher than I expected. It’s hard to describe, but once I started looking closer, it just didn’t feel like something I could comfortably take on.
They do have financial aid options, which is good, but after running through the numbers, it still didn’t seem all that affordable for me. The extra fees and other costs also started adding up quicker than I thought they would.
It might work fine for some students, but for my budget it felt stressful. I just wish the pricing was a little clearer upfront and easier for regular students to figure out.

"Student support was useless in my..."
Student support was useless in my case. I reached out needing help, and it felt like I was just being ignored. No clear answers, no real follow-up, nothing. I basically had to figure everything out on my own, which was really frustrating.

"Job placement support was a letdown"
I expected a lot more help with finding a job once I finished the program. I wasn’t expecting someone to magically hand me a perfect job or anything, but I did think there would be more actual support, like specific leads, real guidance, or at least some kind of plan. Instead, most of what I got was basic stuff, like links to job boards and general advice that felt like the same things I could have Googled on my own in about ten minutes.
When I reached out asking about actual contacts, openings, or anything more direct, the responses were usually slow and didn’t really give me much to work with. I kept feeling like I had to explain what I needed, then wait, and then get an answer that still didn’t really move things forward. Maybe other people had a better experience or connected with a different person, but for me, the job placement help just felt really thin and not worth relying on...

"Financial aid process felt really frustrating"
I had a frustrating time trying to get help with financial aid. It felt like it took forever to get clear answers, and every time I reached out, it seemed like no one really knew what was going on with my file. I’m wondering if other people had the same experience, because it didn’t feel very organized from my side.

"The classes just didn’t feel very solid"
I went in expecting a lot more. Some of the professors just didn’t come across as very confident with the material, and a few lectures felt rushed, really rushed, to the point where I was more confused leaving than when I walked in. Maybe other people had a better experience, but for me, it just wasn’t worth it.

"Admin just doesn’t respond"
I’ve tried emailing admin a few times and basically never hear back. It’s frustrating because you’re left waiting around, kind of like when you expect a quick reply but..

"Wish I’d Realized How Faith-Based It Was"
I knew fresno was a faith-based school going in, but I didn’t realize how much that would show up in everyday campus life. Looking back, I probably should’ve done more research because it ended up feeling like almost everything was connected back to religion, even when I was just hoping for regular college classes and a more typical college experience. I’m sure it’s a great fit for some people, but I never really felt comfortable there, and I regret not recognizing sooner that it just wasn’t the right place for me.

"Admissions felt confusing and a bit dismissive"
I applied through Fresno Pacific University, and the admissions process was more frustrating than I expected. Every time I reached out, it felt like I got a slightly different answer depending on who happened to respond.

Emails took a few days to come back, and some of the info on the website didn’t line up with what I was told later. When I asked follow-up questions, the replies sometimes came across like I should have already known everything, which made me feel kind of talked down to.

By the end, I felt like I was being annoying just for asking normal questions about applying. It made the whole experience feel messy and wasn’t a great first impression.

"I went in hoping for some..."
I went in hoping for some practical career help, but it just didn’t do much for me. From the way the advice was delivered, I kind of got the impression they were assuming I already knew what steps to take, which wasn’t the case. It felt a bit vague and not very useful for actually getting ready for work.

"Just didn’t work for my schedule"
I know some people might like having a strict class structure, but for me it was way too rigid. As a working student, I felt like I had to rearrange my whole life around the classes instead of having any real flexibility. Maybe it works better for people with more open schedules, but it definitely wasn’t a good fit for me

"Library resources made studying way more stressful than expected"
I didn’t expect the library stuff to be such a hassle. The links were confusing, the databases felt limited, and it took way too long to figure out where to get help. I was just trying to study, but it ended up adding a bunch of unnecessary stress.

"Classes felt way too packed"
I don’t know why the class sizes were so crowded, but most of my classes felt completely packed. It made it really hard to get any actual time with the teacher, and asking questions felt awkward because there were just so many people. For what I paid, I expected smaller classes and a bit more support. Frustrating overall.

"Felt like way too much every week"
The workload just felt nonstop to me. Maybe I’m biased because I really value having some breathing room during the week, but I felt like I was always trying to catch up and never quite getting ahead.

"campus community is alright"
people on campus are generally friendly, but it can feel a little cliquey sometimes. it’s not a bad vibe overall, just takes a bit to find your group.

"Campus safety felt a bit off"
Wanted to like it more, but the safety vibe wasn’t great. Some spots were dark, and security wasn’t always around or easy to find. Nothing happened to me, but walking around late didn’t feel super comfortable...

"Online classes just didn’t work for me"
I really wanted to like the online program, and at first I was hopeful it would be flexible and convenient. But it got frustrating fast. The Canvas setup felt all over the place, and waiting so long for replies made me feel kind of stuck. Some days I thought maybe I was just missing something, but then I’d run into another issue and feel disappointed all over again. Maybe the in-person classes are a totally different experience, but the online version just wasn’t worth it for me.

"Felt dismissed during advising"
I had a disappointing advising experience. I went in hoping to get some actual guidance, but it felt like my concerns were brushed off and I wasn’t really being listened to. I left feeling just as confused as when I arrived...

"Just a heads up: it didn’t feel very welcoming"
I didn’t feel very included here. The diversity efforts felt more like they were checking a box than actually trying to support people, and I didn’t get much real help from the staff. Just warning others who might be looking for a genuinely supportive environment, this wasn’t really my experience

"Getting in touch with professors was way harder than it should’ve been"
My biggest frustration with Fresno Pacific University was how hard it was to reach professors. I’d send emails and either wait forever for a response or never hear back at all. Office hours weren’t much better when I actually needed help with something specific. It made me feel like I was figuring everything out on my own, which was frustrating considering how much classes cost. A lot of it felt avoidable if communication had just been a little better
